Circle of Control is a web-based application operated by Circle of Control, accessible at circleofcontrol.co.uk. The Service provides tools to help users reflect on what they can and cannot control, drawing on Stoic and cognitive behavioural principles.
The Service includes two distinct products: Circle of Control — a mental clarity tool for adults and young people aged 13 and over — and Zephyr & the Worry Clouds — a worry-sorting tool designed for children aged 5–10, intended to be used with parental or guardian supervision.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Circle of Control is intended for users aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, you should have parental or guardian permission before using the Service.
Zephyr & the Worry Clouds is designed for children aged 5–10. It must be used under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring the Service is used appropriately by children in their care. By allowing a child to use Zephyr, the parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on the child's behalf.
The Service offers both free and paid subscription features. Paid features are subject to the pricing displayed at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. All payments are processed by a third-party payment provider.
Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law, including your statutory rights under UK consumer legislation.
Zephyr & the Worry Clouds is free to use. No payment is required or requested from children or their parents to access Zephyr.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
All content, design, code, and materials within the Service — including the Zephyr character and Zephyr & the Worry Clouds — are owned by or licensed to us. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership rights. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only, unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Circle of Control and Zephyr & the Worry Clouds are reflective tools intended for personal development and emotional support only. They are not substitutes for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you or a child in your care is experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified healthcare professional or crisis service immediately.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months prior to the relevant claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

The data controller for the Service is Circle of Control, operating under the Circle of Control brand. We are committed to handling your data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Analytics data — we use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Service. This may include pages visited, time on site, general geographic location (country or region only), device and browser type, and referring URL. Analytics data is aggregated or anonymised where possible and is not used to identify you personally.
Account data — if you create an account, we store your email address and subscription status. Passwords are handled securely by our authentication provider and are never stored in plain text.
Payment data — payment processing is handled entirely by a third-party provider. We do not store your card details. We may receive limited transaction metadata such as subscription status and transaction ID.
Correspondence — if you contact us directly, we retain your correspondence to respond to your enquiry.
The content you type into Circle of Control or Zephyr & the Worry Clouds — your worries, thoughts, and session content — is never stored on our servers. Everything you type stays on your device. We do not read, process, or retain the personal content of any session.
We use data to operate and improve the Service, understand usage patterns, manage paid subscriptions, respond to enquiries, and comply with legal obligations.
Our lawful basis for analytics is legitimate interest. Our lawful basis for account and payment data is performance of a contract.
We use cookies to support analytics. A cookie consent banner is shown on first visit — analytics cookies are only placed if you choose to accept. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.
We use the following third-party services: Google Analytics (usage analytics), Supabase (user authentication and account storage), Stripe (payment processing), EmailJS (contact form delivery), and Vercel (hosting infrastructure). Each is subject to their own privacy policies and appropriate data protection measures.

Zephyr is intended to be used by children with the knowledge and supervision of a parent or guardian. By allowing a child to use Zephyr, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and agree to these Terms on their behalf.
